How to Enjoy More “Me” Time
It’s difficult to make time for yourself, but that doesn’t mean it’s not important. If you struggle with making some time for yourself to improve your mood and practice self-love, learn how you can take these simple steps towards enjoying more time for yourself.

It’s Okay to Say No
One thing to remember to help you enjoy some quality time with yourself is that it is okay to say no. this is very difficult for many people, as we are naturally people pleasers. We want to say yes because we want to help others and please everyone, and that’s not a bad thing. However, it becomes a problem when you are saying yes so much that you no longer have time for yourself. And like the saying goes, you have to take care of yourself before you can take care of others. Practice saying no by declining small things and you will eventually learn how to say no in a kind way in order to not overwhelm yourself.

Make a Schedule
If you have difficulty making time for yourself, consider adding in your “me” time to your schedule. Simply pencil in your alone time to your daily or weekly schedule as a reminder to follow through with your commitment to more self-love. Hopefully this will eventually become part of your routine.

Forget the Guilt
Finally, learn to let go of the guilt you might feel when you begin to make more time for yourself. While feeling guilty about declining social invitations or spending time away from your family to take care of yourself is normal, it doesn’t mean you shouldn’t take part in self-love time. A small amount of alone time for yourself is nothing to feel guilty about, and your friends and family will understand when they see how much you are helped by it.
