How to be More Joy-Filled
Joy is a wonderful gift that allows us to enjoy life and those around us. However, it can be difficult to find amidst our busy schedules. Take some time to try some of these ways to add more joy to your life.
Be Thankful
Part of being joyful is being thankful for what you have. It is so easy to get caught up in our wants and desires that might not ever come to fruition, rather than being thankful for the many blessings we already have. When you are truly thankful for what and who you have in your life, it fills your heart with joy and will make your life that much more fulfilled and your gratitude and joy will be evident to others.
Slow Down
Another way to increase the joy in your life is to slow down. Joy and happiness does not equal being busy. Sometimes we try to pack too much in to our schedules because we think being busy and completing tasks is what we need to do. However, taking some time for yourself to have a break from the hustle and bustle is important to finding joy. So no matter how busy you are, take some time to relax by taking a bubble bath, reading a book, or some other hobby or quiet time that makes you happy.
Get Outside
A great way to enjoy life and find joy is to get outside and enjoy nature. There is nothing better than taking a walk in the park or sitting on your porch enjoying the beautiful weather. There is joy in the simple things, and the simple act of being outside in the fresh air can greatly improve your mood.
